Independently set day-to-day work priorities while working to achieve the goals of the team/organization.
Develop test strategies for end-to-end customer deployment scenario testing.
Understanding test automation principles, common automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), and how automation fits into a CI/CD pipeline. Ability to read and understand automation reports.
Create test cases to validate customer deployment scenarios and overall solution.
Execute and monitor tests to report system issues and test results.
Perform regression testing on new software and hardware, scalability tests and evaluate compliance to specifications.
Reproduce field issues and validate their resolution.
Familiarity with traffic generators to create real-world traffic streams for video, data, and voice related testing.
Analyze log files to capture error conditions.
Troubleshoot and debug issues. Clearly describe system-faults in issue tracking products.
Work with multiple internal cross-functional teams, as well as 3rd parties, to analyze test results and field scenarios.
5+ years of technical knowledge/experience working with NMS/EMS systems is required.
Excels at learning quickly and adapting to change.
Must be detail-oriented, be able to work independently and sometimes with limited information.
Proactively communicate status, issues, and support needs to appropriate manager(s).
Organized and goal-focused, ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum of 5 years of knowledge and experience with Telecom Access Products specifically GPON/NGPON/XGS-PON technologies would be a plus.
Networking protocols and technology experience is required related to Layer2/3 Ethernet networks.
Experience testing user interfaces including, but not limited to, SNMP, Netconf.
Experience with data communications or telecommunications product testing in one or more of the following areas:
Experience with packet capture tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, iperf, wireline simulators, traffic generators and other networking test and evaluation tools.
Experience with end-to-end testing of OLT-ONU(OMCI) interaction and troubleshooting.
Excellent general troubleshooting skills.
Ability to articulate problems in detail.
Excellent verbal/written English communication skills while working with local/remote teams.
Hands-on experience with performance test methods and tools, e.g., Spirent, IXIA, Abacus/Ameritec Bulk Call Generators, Ookla Speed Test, Iperf, is good to have.
