SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator. This position supports the Joint Fires Network (JFN), Distributed Experimentation Environment (DE2) and Vanguard Force DevOps Environment (VFDE) - These OUSD R&E, DARPA and TRMC initiatives are designed to leverage Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) experimentation in developing advanced warfighter architectures and CONOPS and link sensors and weapons platforms in times of critical conflict around the globe. SAIC is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join our Technical Engineering and Design Department in support of our United States Air Force customer. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of tools and process to ensure the maximum availability, stability and health of the program's complex systems and resources by ensuring that all project requirements are thoroughly understood, documented, and effectively communicated throughout System Integration Lifecycle. In parallel and as a result of the development and implementation of tools and processes, the Integration engineer will perform system monitoring and remediation of issues to ensure uptime requirements are met for the critical systems. The candidate will provide technical support to improve Multi-Domain Command and Control (MDC2) capabilities through the development and continuous improvement of the JFN and JMIE systems. Contractor support shall support all facets of the systems integration of the JFN and JMIE baselines including: systems engineering, cybersecurity, hardware and software, exploitation, and Battlespace Management and Command and Control (BMC2) capabilities across all warfare domains. The position is required to be 100% on site in San Diego, CA at NIWC Pacific.
In support of the VFDE TEDD IPT as a JFN Tech Ops Engineer (Sr.) the candidate will work directly with the Tech Ops Lead Engineer to:
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in STEM and 5+ years of progressive experience in Computer Science, Networking and Information Technology, including Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, DevSecOps, and application lifecycle management. Experience in automation tools and techniques, including configuration management and system validation. Experience with system monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk) Experience with Virtualization: VMware, vSphere, and Microsoft Hyper-V, Linux KVM Experience with DevSecOps practices such as continuous integration and development tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab Runners) Experience with Kubernetes distros (RKE2, EKS, K8s, etc) Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform). Knowledge of application integration testing and automated testing frameworks. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with application providers. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience in reporting project status to leadership. Familiarity with modern IT frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, ITIL). Understanding of business and technical alignment to achieve organizational goals. U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance. IAT Level II certification. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
