Tech Services Driver

As a Tech Services Driver you will be responsible for driving and operating semi-vans, roll-off trailers, and dump trailers as required.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices.
  • Load supplies needed for job completion and travels to various industry, laboratory, and school sites to perform lab pack services.
  • Prepare for daily trip by inspecting vehicle and equipment, fueling truck, and ensuring all equipment is in excellent order.
  • Drive to customer sites to collect waste material and/or transport hazardous and non-hazardous material.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for shipment of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Follow proper placarding and load segregation requirements when transporting hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a logbook for Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
  • Assist customers in troubleshooting and correcting record keeping inconsistencies and service concerns.
  • Act as a Company Representative with all customers and contacts.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Education:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience:

  • 1+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (required)
  • Hazmat endorsement (required)

Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Ability to understand RCRA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to meet Arcwood Driver Qualifications.
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the essential functions and requirements of this role.
