Supplier Quality Engineering Tech

The Quality Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting inspection activities, evaluating product quality, updating documentation, and assisting operations. This position helps ensure that manufacturing and engineering processes meet high standards of reliability and performance. Responsibilities include:

  • Review and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and documentation to assist production teams.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of quality control plans, inspection protocols, and measurement documentation.
  • Support process verification and qualification efforts to confirm compliance with requirements.
  • Provide guidance to operations teams regarding technical specifications and process expectations.
  • Investigate and resolve product and equipment issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage the selection and procurement of inspection tools and equipment through established approval processes.
  • Participate in additional quality-related tasks as assigned.
  • Apply sound judgment and discretion in addressing quality matters.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Audit experience for evaluating supplier processes and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Understanding of quality systems like ISO 9001 or AS9100 for quality control, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including raw material handling and assembly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and enforce standards.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with external partners to maintain strong relationships.
  • Team-oriented approach in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing and SAP knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing setting, where precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key. The technician works closely with suppliers, engineering teams, and production staff to uphold quality standards across the supply chain. The environment combines hands-on inspection activities with documentation and process analysis, requiring attention to detail and adaptability. While primarily based in a facility, occasional travel to supplier sites may be needed for audits and evaluations.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
