This SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Army National Guard (ARNG) and is part of the CA JFHQ G3. Responsibilities include supervising and managing one or more of the following human resource programs: Mobilization Readiness including Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP); Soldier Readiness Check (SRC)/Mobilization Deployment Readiness Exercise (MODRE); Mobilization Readiness to include liaising directly with the assigned Mobilization and Demobilization Station of a unit, the corresponding Training Support Battalion (TSB), respective Army Regional Command (1A), the respective Mobilization Brigade, and internal mobilization station tenant agencies.
This is a T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, indefinite position. Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered.
CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Qualifications:
General Experience: Must possess a valid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of human resources functions and programs.
SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, GS-0201-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level experience executing personnel programs and Human Resources Information Systems and advising supervisors and managers; Experience in personnel and manpower core competencies; Experience in applying program policies, directives, publications, and training manuals; and have at least 24 months experience with human resources programs related to federal civilian or military personnel programs.

Education Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work required.
