As a Staff Robotics Solutions Engineer, you will be a key technical leader for our fast-growing team, drawing upon a broad variety of engineering subject areas to integrate, operate, root-cause, and maintain the incredibly sophisticated OTTAVAβ„’ Robotic Surgical System in hospitals and medical facilities as part of the Service Solutions organization.

Qualifications

7+ years of field service or applications engineering experience in medical device capital equipment. Experience in robotics HW and SW development & integration highly preferred. BS or MS degree in a relevant engineering field, including Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechatronics, Systems, Robotics, or Biomedical Engineering. Proven understanding of programming concepts and ability to modify existing code (C++, python, etc) required. Must understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and other related user documentation. Experience partitioning and decomposing sophisticated engineering problems into solvable problems required. Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively about technical topics with other leaders to make key technical decisions preferred. Project management skills is preferred. Ability to lead, mentor and delegate to other engineers and technicians is required. Proven history of successfully managing an engineering team is preferred. Experience in regulated industry preferred. Ability to relocate anywhere in the United States upon successful completion of training program is required. Travel frequency up to 70% within the US.

Work Environment

This position is primarily a field-based role that includes the following work environment: Research and Development Lab Facilities, Hospitals Operating Rooms, Procurement Center Loading Docks and Storage Locations, Service and Repair Center Activities, Professional Education Labs, Professional Conferences, Trade Shows and Congress.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $105,000 - $169,050. Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
