Joby Aero, Inc. (Santa Cruz, CA) Staff Development Assurance Requirements Engineer. Ensure compliance with development assurance requirements: Identify and assess multiple sources of requirements, including the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), industry standards, product descriptions, higher-level requirements, and customer expectations. Oversee system development assurance: Support the systems safety, engineering, software, and airborne electronic hardware (AEH) development teams in addressing compliance issues related to ARP 4754A. Oversee AEH and software development assurance: Guide software and systems development teams on compliance with DO-178C/DO-254 and associated supplements, regulatory guidance, and best practices. Ensure aircraft certification and airworthiness: Lead the validation of requirements to ensure the aircraft meets certification and airworthiness standards. Oversee Joby’s entry into service: Generate and review maintenance content, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to support the entry into service.
Special Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related degree. Experience: 5 years of experience as Systems Engineer, Development Assurance Engineer or closely related. Must have some experience in: 1. Requirements management, requirements development, validation, verification, certification and compliance. 2. SAE ARP 4754A, RTCA/DO-178C and RTCA/DO-254 3. Process definition across the development cycle associated with requirements adherence in support of system and aircraft certification 4. Coordination of product issues with design engineering in fielded equipment requiring evaluation and possible modification to requirements, implementation, or manufacturing 5.
