Software Engineer

Google Distributed Cloud Air-Gapped (GDC-AG) is a fully managed experience for organizations requiring complete isolation to meet stringent sovereignty and regulatory requirements. As a member of the GDC-AG Virtual Environments team, you will contribute to delivery of the google private cloud product, by ensuring GDC-AG development and release workflows have healthy environments that mimic production closely through automation and tooling. The Virtual Environments team mission is to provide reliable GDC-AG virtual lab environments to engineers/customers for development, testing, and demonstration.

Responsibilities

• Be able to code and debug, and develop tools for working within various environments. This includes OC rollout/rollback, test execution, resource utilization, result reporting, and health monitoring.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure the quality of operable components are rolled out to the environments.
• Drive the product feature deliverables, customer issue resolution, and virtual environments additional features to match the physical setups.
• Write automation to manage physical environments setup and health.
• Integrate the platform/test environment with CI/CD.
