Software Engineer

Stripe, Inc.: Software Engineer - South San Francisco, CA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)

DUTIES:

Build software infrastructure, including creation, modification, and testing of source code written in Ruby, Javascript, Python, and JVM languages.
Analyze user needs and feedback and translate them into technical specifications.
Analyze product requirements and determine the feasibility of design, taking into account cost and time constraints.
Implement a technical design into a series of programming tasks.
Implement unit, functional, and integration tests to prevent bugs and regressions.
Debug and identify the root cause of errors in a complex web application across multiple service components.
Conduct technical interviews for the role of Software Engineer and assess candidate qualifications.
Design components and systems for estimating and billing for network costs.
Deploy production web services.
Monitor production web services for abnormal behavior and respond to issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
2 years of Software Engineering experience
Position also requires 2 years of experience with the following:

Writing and debugging production grade computer code.
Working with data modeling in production grade systems.
Working with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in production grade systems.
Writing software to issue and serve HTTP requests in production grade systems.

TELECOMUTING: 50% remote work permitted.

SALARY: $175,140-$185,140 per year.
