As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. Cloud Observability within Google Cloud Platform empowers customers through their AI transformation as they build and operate cloud applications, by providing an observability platform for GCP focusing on AI workloads, and leveraging this platform to offer a compelling, end-to-end observability experience for GCP customers. We offer monitoring, logging, alerting, profiler and trace solutions. Through our products, our users gain valuable insights into their systems, applications and AI models and agents' runtime performance and behavior, generate alerts, triage incidents and increase availability. We are a partner to every GCP service and the central repository of logs, metrics, profiling data and traces. Our systems have global backend scale and offer compelling and useful visualizations of data. Google Cloud accelerates every organization's ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
• Lead the technical direction for how GCP customers observe the build, deployment, and operation of AI systems, models and agents within GCP and across their enterprises.
• Lead all technical aspects of our agent and AI observability efforts.
• Ensure compliance, security, reliability, supportability and usability as key parts of designing and building these capabilities.
