Responsibilities:

  • Craft new and modify existing equipment in cross-discipline design teams (software, electrical, control, and mechanical engineers). Develop documentation for your designs, modify, test, and debug kernel modules and drivers.
  • Develop code in C, C++, Bash, and Python on bare metal and under RHEL-compatible Linux distros in containers.
  • Manufacture and support equipment in collaboration with New Product Introduction, Field Service, and Operation teams.
  • Innovate and keep Micron driven by providing outstanding solutions that no one else has addressed.
  • Support and improve existing designs, responding to manufacturing and production needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability in embedded software collaborating with hardware.
  • Proficiency in C and C++.
  • Fundamental electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Comprehension of analog circuitry.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment, schematic, and PCB layout.
  • Knowledge of PCIe and Linux kernel/module/driver.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software collaborating with hardware.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash.
  • Expertise with Linux and GNU toolchain.
  • Experience with schematics and PCB layout.
  • Knowledge of collaboratively working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, SMUs.
  • Advanced proficiency in analog circuitry and calibration.
  • Proficiency in PCIe/NVMe and Linux kernel/module/driver.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux storage devices.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $155,000.00 - $264,000.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
