Senior Building Engineer (Nvidia)

As a CBRE Senior Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring complex building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Essential duties and responsibilities include: assigning work orders and estimating the time and materials needed to complete repairs; maintaining an inventory of adequate supplies and tools; performing maintenance and repairs to advanced mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems; keeping facility and building systems up to applicable standards; complying with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety; developing an energy management program; ensuring all systems operate in the most efficient manner; overseeing and inspecting the work performed by outside contractors; responding to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors; directing the implementation of a preventive maintenance program; performing repairs and emergency maintenance as needed; reviewing and signing off on inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing; applying advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives; showcasing expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function; coaching others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function; leading by example and modeling behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values; anticipating potential objections and persuading others to adopt a different point of view; impacting the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams; working is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies; contributing to new products, processes, standards, and operational plans in support of achieving functional goals; and communicating difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of the following: HVAC/R, chillers, mechanical, electrical & plumbing (M.E.P.), process water & CDR (compressed dry air), and BMS (business management system).

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Education and experience requirements include: high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and trade school or training; minimum of five (5) years experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC/R (refrigeration), stationary and facilities engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience; building engineering operations including R&D and computer rooms preferred; data center experience is a plus; EPA universal and 608 certification required.

Additional certifications in one or more of the following are preferred: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training and experience. The salary range is $74 - $77 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications and experience.
