Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicles, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineering Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Quality Engineering Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of product quality, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to quality management, which will align successfully within the organization. Location: Fremont, CA or Lathrop, CA Pay Range: $40/hour

What's the Job?

Evaluate parts produced on various production lines, including electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and final assemblies, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Flag suspect or nonconforming production parts, remove them from the line, and support engineering with containment activities to meet company standards. Lead the organization and completion of quality trials, collaborating with Quality Engineers and supporting new line validations. Create and maintain quality instruction documents to ensure clarity and consistency in processes. Assist in identifying and resolving manufacturing quality issues, including sorting parts and supporting root cause analysis efforts.

What's Needed?

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal communication skills. Experience with quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA is preferred. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S, TPS, TQM, GD&T, and electronic test and measurement systems is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, pulling and manipulating data, and escalating issues appropriately.
