Project Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team and assist in the successful execution of construction projects, specifically related to water and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent as directed to help execute the project.
• Generate RFIs and PCO documentation, maintaining files and logs.
• Assist in creating and processing submittals, verifying accuracy, and coordinating with engineers and suppliers through approval and release to fabrication.
• Assist in creating various project plans and submittals.
• Issue purchase orders and subcontracts as directed.
• Maintain Bill of Materials as directed.
• Attend project meetings.
• Gain knowledge and be curious and studious regarding all aspects of the construction of water and wastewater projects.
• Monitor project budgets to assist in maintaining project profitability.
• Monitor the CPM Schedule to ensure the project is on or ahead of schedule.
• Assist in receiving materials and entering them into the View Point system.
• Ensure safe work practices including preplanning and engineering measures for safety.
• Work with the Superintendent to ensure correct equipment is on site, maintained, and appropriately utilized.
• Support the project to ensure it is built in accordance with contract documents and industry standards.
• Assist with project startup and closeout as directed.
• Notify the Project Manager, Superintendent, or management of significant issues that could impact safety, efficacy, schedule, profitability, or reputation.

Essential Skills:

• 2-4 years of experience in project engineering or construction management.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Water experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment:

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Livermore, California.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr. Healthcare coverage begins the first of the month following 60 days of continuous employment. GSE covers 90% of the employee and 30% of all dependents' premium for health insurance. The Company has 401(k) plans Two weeks paid vacation, one-week sick leave and recognized national holidays - Room to grow and develop.
