Project Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Project Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in project planning, design, and resource management. You will ensure quality assurance, cost management, and regulatory compliance while fostering effective communication among project stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with project managers to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Assisting with the technical aspects of the project, including reviewing and interpreting design drawings and specifications.
  • Managing the allocation of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to meet project needs.
  • Overseeing quality control, ensuring construction work meets design standards, industry regulations, and safety codes.
  • Monitoring project expenses, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities to stay within the project budget.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings, change orders, and construction records.
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors, including procurement, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Identifying and addressing potential project risks to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
  • Facilitating effective communication between project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Addressing and resolving technical issues, discrepancies, and challenges encountered during construction.
  • Managing the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services needed for the project.
  • Ensuring the project adheres to local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Promoting and enforcing safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Working to meet project milestones and deadlines by managing the project schedule.
  • Providing regular updates on project progress, budget status, and other key metrics to project managers and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • A two or four-year degree in an accredited engineering or construction management program.
  • Experience as a Field Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager.
  • Construction industry experience or internships.
  • Detail-oriented team player with good organizational skills.
  • Competency working with a wide range of technology.

This position offers a flexible schedule and work-from-home opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our general contracting firm is located in Mountain View, California, with a growing team of nearly 50 employees. We specialize in managing commercial and industrial construction projects, focusing on small to midsize projects. Our culture emphasizes teamwork and creating a positive work environment. Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mountain View, California. Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
