Project Engineer

Multiple Project Engineer Positions

Positions available with ARB, Inc. in Irvine, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the state of California. Duties include: serving as the construction site liaison with engineers, customers, constructors, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, project reviews, and other project stakeholder engagements; coordinating all civil or mechanical design and engineering-related inquiries in a timely manner to meet project objectives and milestones; preparing request for information sheets describing technical inquiries in civil or mechanical engineering raised by craft personnel with the engineer of record; utilizing Bluebeam and 3D model software to support field installation; maintaining ongoing communication with project stakeholders and ensuring that project deliverables meet customer needs and contractual requirements; enabling timely delivery of all project submittals compliant with the contract documents; facilitating constructability discussions between superintendents and the engineer of record; managing the document control system per company standards and training all team members; overseeing the tasks of field engineers and document control staff; and supporting the project manager in change management and estimating with scope definitions, quantity take offs, and cost calculations.

Education and experience: Masters degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years relevant experience in construction projects involving civil engineering. Must have: strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes including document control systems; experience in coordinating construction projects; proficiency in interpreting and analyzing construction plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Bluebeam; proficiency in reading and reviewing Primavera P6; and a driver's license is required. Salary range: $130,853-140,000. Relocation may be required. Domestic travel within the state of California up to 75% required.
