Come be a part of our mission! We are looking for you to join our team as a Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Systems Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.
In this role, you will work with Chief Mission Architect and peer MS&A Systems Engineers in collaborative small team environments to conduct research and analysis, develop models and simulations, and develop and implement algorithms.
• Design and develop complex models and simulations for inertial navigation systems to predict system performance and support design decisions.
• Conduct detailed analysis of system performance using simulation tools to identify potential improvements and ensure system requirements are met.
• Develop and implement algorithms for inertial navigation systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
• Analyze simulation data to validate models and algorithms and provide insights into system behavior under various conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models and simulations into larger system architectures and participate in system testing and validation.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in modeling and simulation technologies and apply them to improve existing systems.
• Work closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to ensure alignment and integration of models with overall system design.
+ BS degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a MS degree and 3 years OR a Ph.D. and 1 year
+ Proven experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
+ Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar software. Experience with C/C++ or Python for algorithm development is a plus.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to cross-functional projects.
+ High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work, with a focus on quality and reliability.
+ Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance.
+ Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, California.

Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
