Principal Semiconductor Yield Engineer

Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems. We have an opportunity for a Semiconductor Yield Engineer to join a small team of senior-level yield engineers working on continuous technical progress and improvement while leveraging cross-functional teams from the entire operations team. This is an opportunity to utilize and expand your keen understanding of semiconductor processing, metrology, and failure analysis as well as your strong statistical analysis skills.
What You Will Do
- Monitoring process and product yields across multiple wafer product lines.
- Collaboration with all levels of stakeholders (chief engineers, product engineers, process engineers, technicians, etc.) to drive continuous improvement solutions.
- Lead RCCA and yield improvement teams and assist with scoping strategic initiatives to improve future factory performance.
- Perform statistical analysis of large datasets to drive the organization toward applied intelligence and more automated use of big data.
- Identifying potential yield-limiting defect sources and defining structured problem-solving activities and mining in process equipment and metrology date, product data and characterization data to identify root cause and drive corrective actions.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in Semiconductor, Manufacturing, Yield and/or process Engineering.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working with database infrastructures and performing data analysis including JMP, Minitab, Tableau (or other related software).
- Experience leading teams through yield improvement in a semiconductor manufacturing environment to include technical writing and presentation experience – as well as experience organizing and forging teaming partnerships with all levels of Operations and Manufacturing stakeholders.
- Experience in infrared sensor development and electro-optic sensing system manufacturing
- Experience with high mix precision electromechanical/semiconductor products in a highly regulated Operations environment
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing process, rules, and implementation in high mix semiconductor manufacturing environment

- The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
