We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Principal Audio/Video Engineer to ensure our conference rooms are in optimal condition daily. This role involves maintaining the functionality and modernity of our conference spaces within Shockwave Medical, collaborating closely with vendors and the Johnson & Johnson AV team to uphold our high standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of conference rooms to ensure all equipment and furnishings are in proper working order.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio-visual, lighting, and other conference room systems promptly.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to schedule maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, ensuring service quality and timely completion.
  • Work with the J&J AV team to implement and maintain conference room technology upgrades, ensuring rooms meet Johnson & Johnson's standards for modernity and functionality.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies and coordinate procurement when necessary.
  • Document maintenance activities, issues, and resolutions to ensure records are up to date.
  • Assist in setting up conference rooms for meetings, presentations, and special events.
  • Stay informed of the latest AV technologies and best practices to recommend improvements and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and security protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in AV maintenance, technical support, or similar roles.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of audio-visual systems.
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage daily tasks.
  • Familiarity with Johnson & Johnson's standards and commitment to excellence is a plus.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent issues outside of regular hours if necessary.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with a professional attitude.
  • Adaptable to new technology and processes.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is Bay Area: $105,000 - $169,050. Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
