This individual performs the complex responsibility of profiling, analyzing and achieving optimal performance, power and thermal KPIs for a wide range of Qualcomm products. PPT Systems Engineers collaborate across multiple teams and job families to drive the analysis and modeling towards implementation that can help achieve industry leading performance, power and thermal KPI targets for SoCs and Chipsets on the roadmap. Leverages knowledge of Power, Performance, and Thermal Systems Engineering to lead and/or drive projects that achieve optimal performance standards for products across all BUs. Researches, architects, designs, develops, and validates SoC, Chipset and system level performance, power, thermal and limits models to estimate and optimize product defining KPIs for diverse industrial form factors targeting products across Mobile, Compute, XR, Cloud AI, Infrastructure, Automotive, CSS, and IOT BU roadmaps. Collaborates cross functionally to drive industry leading architecture and implementation to achieve power, performance and thermal KPI targets for products on the roadmap. Develops and deploys models, methodologies, and tools to profile, estimate, optimize, and validate use cases and data flows; correlates PPT KPI targets for product defining use cases and benchmarks from product definition through commercialization. Provides optimal system-level recommendations for QoS, BW voting and other power, thermal, and limits management attributes and policies to internal development teams. Evaluates and optimizes system-level performance, power and thermal metrics across the silicon distribution. Drives triage of complex problems at the system level to determine root cause in RUMI and silicon platforms internally, and on customer platforms. Writes complex technical documentation for projects. Act as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan.
