Plant It Support Engineer

We are looking for a Plant IT Support Engineer located in our Pomona, CA facility. Transform the everyday with us!
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to work a split shift which will be 11:00am – 8:00pm
- First-Line Technical Support: Provide friendly and efficient technical assistance for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware via phone, email, and in-person.
- Perform hands-on diagnosis, fix, repair, and replacement of various hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new workstations and IT equipment across our manufacturing facility.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine checks on hardware to ensure efficient performance and minimize downtime.
- Software & System Support: Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software applications, and drivers.
- Assist users with password resets, account unlocks, and basic access permission issues.
- Fix common software issues, including application errors and performance problems.
- Network & Connectivity: Provide basic help to resolve network connectivity issues (wired and wireless) for end-users.
- Documentation & Tracking: Accurately detail all IT issues, resolutions, and steps taken within our ticketing system to maintain an extensive knowledge base.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to escalate complex issues and contribute to larger IT projects or initiatives that support our manufacturing processes.
- Asset Management: Assist with tracking and managing IT assets, including inventory, deployment, and recovery of equipment.
You will win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, OR relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+), OR equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience demonstrating skills in an IT support or helpdesk role, with a strong preference for experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Solid proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience with fixing hardware issues, repair, and component replacement for PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi).
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities and consistently diligent to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, with a patient and helpful demeanor.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment such as computers, monitors, printers, and servers (up to 50 lbs.) as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include varying temperatures, noise levels, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- Experience with specific manufacturing IT systems or industrial control systems
