Network Engineer Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Montebello, California. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems to ensure optimal connectivity and performance. Responsibilities:

  • Configure, deploy, and manage Cisco and Juniper routers to optimize network performance.
  • Implement and maintain Wi-Fi connectivity solutions to ensure reliable access for end-users.
  • Monitor network systems and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with team members to design failover solutions using Earthlink and AT&T technologies.
  • Maintain and optimize Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations for seamless data routing.
  • Perform regular assessments of network infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols, including Cisco ASA configurations.
  • Document network processes and configurations for efficient knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to resolve connectivity challenges.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance network capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers and Cisco ASA security systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper routers and related network technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and its applications.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi network setup and management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
