Internship Schedule: May - August 2026, full-time, 40 hours per week
About the experience: The Manufacturing Engineering ITT Cannon intern will have the opportunity to work for the founding and most storied aerospace and defense electrical connector manufacturer in North America. They will obtain first-hand experience in the design and validation of electrical connectors used in the harsh environment military and aerospace environment. The intern will be guided and mentored by experienced design engineers throughout the process, ensuring they have a meaningful and productive experience.
Participate in all design stages of a specific harsh environment electrical connector development project including:
The intern will be guided throughout the design project by the engineering team but will be able to be a full participant in the design process.

Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering program (BS/MS/PhD), in good standing
Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles. Knowledge of metals, plastics, and rubber materials helpful, but not required.
Knowledge of designing for CNC machining and injection molding preferred
Knowledge/experience in CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
