Manager, Partnership Marketing

Compensation Range: $50 - 60 per hour

We are seeking a Manager, Partnership Marketing to be an exceptional addition to our Partner Marketing team. In this role, you will oversee our editorial marketing efforts across devices (e.g., Smart TVs, connected devices, gaming consoles) and manage our marketing strategies and campaigns with key wholesale, enterprise, and distribution partners.

You will leverage our brand, content, and promotional offers to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention through various platforms and partnerships. The ideal candidate has led all aspects of a marketing campaign, from planning to execution, has direct people management experience, and an in-depth understanding of the digital distribution landscape. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to be at the forefront of a growing media channel and can help spur innovation and mutually beneficial opportunities with partners that deliver on critical business goals. This is a highly collaborative role that will work closely with colleagues across marketing and with high-profile external partners.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive subscriber growth, engagement, and brand awareness through partnerships with Smart TV, connected devices, gaming console, and wholesale/enterprise partners.

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships across device, wholesale, and enterprise partners, outlining partnership strategies and business plans to achieve key business goals for subscriber growth, engagement, and awareness.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with partners and lead the creation, execution, and post-launch assessment of partner marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance with contractual marketing agreements across all partner marketing efforts.
  • Represent the team in meetings and negotiations with partners and serve as the lead for wholesale partner relationships.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap that includes key milestones, performance benchmarks, and pathways to campaign optimization.
  • Directly manage one marketing coordinator, providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and professional development support.
  • Provide senior marketing leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners with campaign updates, including metrics, data, and qualitative and quantitative analysis, to ensure partnerships are driving progress toward strategic business goals.
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison to Platform Distribution, Business Development, Engagement and Retention, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Represent marketing interests in distribution and wholesale deal negotiations.
  • Manage quarterly business reviews and implement long-lead planning processes that unlock opportunities for participation in upcoming partner milestones and new product features/launches.
  • Identify new, mutually beneficial ways to collaborate and maximize awareness for company priorities across partner channels and platforms.
  • Own business plans and budgets related to partnership agreements, marketing campaigns, and relevant operational costs.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the partnership marketing team.

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of work experience; prior experience in Partnership Marketing or a general management/marketing role at a consumer-facing brand is a must.

  • Partnership Management: Excellent partner relationship management skills and the ability to align interests and construct breakthrough "win-win" opportunities that meet both company and partner goals.
  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment. Must be very organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and pay special attention to detail.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and very collaboratively.
  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent strategic planning skills and the ability to switch between creative projects and strategic/analytical tasks with ease.
  • Execution: Demonstrated ability to set goals, meet deadlines, and successfully manage multiple assignments.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong background in partnership marketing, campaign management, and cross-functional collaboration, with proven experience leading marketing initiatives from concept to execution.
