BlackRock SMA Solutions helps clients customize portfolios for unique tax, values-alignment, or investment exposures across direct indexing, fixed income, active equity, and multi-asset. This position plays an important role in developing and maintaining our investment technology base and delivering new platform functionalities. You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing tests for the various back-end and database systems for which SMA Solutions are responsible. You will also be expected to monitor/support our existing automated processes along with the rest of the Data Team.
Work with Product/process engineers to create and maintain high performance, highly available, highly scalable database - this includes but is not limited to:
3+ years of database development experience supporting application development teams/projects. Strong SQL and database skills. Practical experience writing scripts in Python (or other object-oriented programming languages). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated, self-pacing, proactive attitude essential to prevent foreseeable issues/problems.
Related experience in the financial or investment sector is a big plus. Familiarity with ETL processes/tools, such as Informatica, Clover
For San Francisco, CA and Sausalito, CA only the salary range for this position is USD$125,000.00 - USD$155,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
