As an RN Educator, you will design, organize, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education. Every day you will facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency of staff, ensuring these programs primarily support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring quality, safety, and service in patient and family-centered care. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong instructional design capabilities, expert clinical knowledge, and the ability to effectively engage and develop healthcare professionals, ultimately enhancing the standards of patient care.
Observes clinical staff and students for any learning needs or deficiencies and provides education as appropriate. Assists with the management of orientation of hospital personnel and students which includes providing educational resources and serving as the resource person and mentoring staff as appropriate. Collaborates with appropriate hospital departments to ensure unit specific competencies are developed and maintained and assists management as needed. Maintains knowledge of current regulatory requirements to ensure hospital staff and students are in compliance. Assists management with the development of department and hospital policies and procedures which includes researching relevant content and providing appropriate updates. Assists with the development, scheduling, delivery, and evaluation of clinical systems educational programs and services.
