A manufacturing company specializing in packaging supplies seeks a General Helper to perform manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials for the corrugated industry. Responsibilities include attaching identifying tags to containers or marking them with identifying information, reading work orders or receiving oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs, recording numbers of units handled and moved using daily production sheets or work tickets, moving freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment, sorting cargo before loading and unloading, assembling product containers and crates using hand tools and precut lumber, loading and unloading ship cargo using winches and other hoisting devices, packing containers and re-packing damaged containers, and carrying needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks and returning them after use.
Essential skills include production experience in a manufacturing environment, machine operation skills, ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence, and comfortability with the manufacturing production work environment. Additional skills and qualifications include verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, team player and detail-oriented.

The work schedule is Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 pm to 6 am, totaling 40-60 hours a week.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, California. The pay range for this position is $20.77/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
