IEEE 802.15.4 Test Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA – 100% Onsite Hire Type: Full Time

We are looking for IEEE 802.15.4 Test Engineers to support our client's device testing programs. This is an onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA, working directly with client's lab infrastructure. Candidates should have experience in testing low-power wireless protocols such as Zigbee, Thread, or other 802.15.4-based technologies.

Your Role

Develop and execute test plans for 802.15.4-based protocols (Zigbee, Thread). Perform functional, performance, and interoperability testing. Use tools like Wireshark, Silicon Labs Network Analyzer, or Telegesis for protocol debugging. Automate test cases using Python or similar scripting languages. Analyze logs, identify issues, and collaborate with development teams for resolution. Document test procedures, results, and maintain test coverage.

Your Skills and Experience

3 years of experience in 802.15.4 protocol testing. Strong understanding of Zigbee/Thread stack and device commissioning. Experience with protocol analyzers and debugging tools. Proficiency in Python or similar scripting for automation. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Have

Experience with certification processes (Zigbee Alliance, Thread Group). Familiarity with embedded systems and low-power wireless design. Exposure to multi-protocol coexistence testing. Experience in Agile development environments.
