HVAC Project Manager

Manage commercial mechanical HVAC construction projects of various sizes, ensuring timely and quality completion. Oversee project schedules, resource allocation, and safety compliance while coordinating with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and update AC Install construction schedules.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers to plan new AC Install projects, considering safety, tools, labor, materials, and rentals.
• Attend pre-construction and jobsite coordination meetings.
• Visit job sites to monitor progress and report findings.
• Facilitate productivity of AC installers.
• Conduct progress and final quality assessments on projects.
• Oversee construction warranties, field redlines, and as-build plans.
• Manage safety protocols, including safety tailgates, job hazard analysis, and onsite inspections.
• Coordinate equipment delivery.
• Attend construction meetings with management and clients.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in project management.
• Experience in the air conditioning industry and commercial construction projects.
• Field experience with HVAC system installation.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and managing multiple job sites.
• Knowledge of project scheduling (MS Project) and safety management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with mechanical engineering, AutoCAD, and design calculations.
• Knowledge of building codes, vendor relationships, and load analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Office and good typing skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
• Knowledge of CAD software is a plus.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a family-owned company with a collaborative and flexible culture. Expect to work in both indoor and outdoor construction sites across Southern California, with occasional travel to Dallas, Las Vegas, and the Bay Area. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with minimal overtime. The dress code is business casual, with PPE required for field visits. The environment supports growth, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive engagement in diverse projects.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Fullerton, California.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.27/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
