Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Fairfield, California. This role is critical to supporting the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring smooth communication between employees and HR, and handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors and new hires, ensuring they have the necessary credentials to access the production warehouse.
  • Manage visitor logs for domestic and international guests in compliance with security protocols and issue badges for employees and visitors.
  • Distribute incoming mail to appropriate departments and maintain efficient mail handling processes.
  • Coordinate company events, including planning and communication to ensure successful execution.
  • Provide support in benefits administration, employee wellness initiatives, and safety programs.
  • Facilitate employee development and training programs to enhance workforce skills and knowledge.
  • Assist with payroll processing on a biweekly basis to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support internal and external audits by gathering and verifying necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with staffing agencies to recruit and onboard contract workers, including verifying and submitting timecards.
  • Maintain confidentiality while managing HR-related tasks and correspondence.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in handling legal forms, background checks, and HR administration tasks.
  • Strong ability to manage benefit functions and provide support in employee wellness initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in legal correspondence and maintaining compliance with security policies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in payroll processes and familiarity with audit preparation.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between employees and HR.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
