Hr Specialist

We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis, working onsite in Tustin, California. In this role, you will support critical human resources functions, including benefits administration, leave management, and workers' compensation claims, to ensure seamless operations during a busy period. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while collaborating closely with employees and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment processes and providing guidance on available options.
  • Coordinate and manage leave of absence policies in compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication.
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims by filing reports, liaising with insurance providers, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Facilitate department transfers by updating employee records, ensuring payroll accuracy, and coordinating with stakeholders for smooth transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act requirements, including tracking employee hours and completing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with employees and managers to address HR-related inquiries and provide support regarding policies and procedures.
  • Utilize HRIS systems, such as Paycom, to manage employee data and streamline HR processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Support onboarding processes to welcome new hires and ensure proper integration into the organization.
  • Contribute to creating a positive employee experience by addressing concerns and fostering effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources roles, including benefits administration and leave management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms, such as Paycom, with the ability to manage employee data effectively.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and compliance requirements, including ACA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience in managing open enrollment processes and guiding employees through benefit selections.
  • Familiarity with handling workers' compensation claims and coordinating with insurance carriers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in processing department transfers and employee records.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support employees and collaborate with leadership.
  • Ability to work onsite in Tustin, California, adhering to a business casual dress code.
