Runner Job Opportunity

We are seeking Runners who are responsible for transporting medical samples and related material to and from clinical departments of the hospital. Runners also help to keep Lab departments clean and in orderly condition. Runners transport samples approved for distribution to nursing units or clinical departments either by hand carrying them or sending them by the pneumatic tube system. Runners also collect lab samples that are placed in the Lab and other departments.

Essential Functions:

• Triage samples according to the priority and urgency (stat vs regular) and transport them in the most efficient and secure methods.
• Make regular visits to nursing units and clinical departments to collect material to return to the lab.
• Assist delivering samples and equipment. Other work as assigned.

Requirements:

• An interest in healthcare/hospital roles
• Comfortable with being on your feet all day
• Exposure to a lab or hospital environment preferred

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
