Executive Director of Ordnance Operations

You will serve as the Executive Director of Ordnance Operations in N4 of Navy Munitions Command, Conus West Div. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption to the department-wide hiring freeze.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading large, geographically dispersed organizations and managing multi-million-dollar programs in ordnance and complex logistics operations.
• Planning, organizing, and managing all technical and administrative functions of the Command.
• Responsible for strategic planning, policy development, labor relations, and resource management to direct a diverse workforce of military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
• Providing technical expertise to Regional Command and services various systems Commands and other customers providing ordnance maintenance and other reimbursable support.
• Managing and overseeing the subordinate Commands which service the assigned Pacific Fleet activities with ordnance requirements performing multifunctional activities.
• Ensuring the Command provides quality and responsive logistics technical and material support to the fleet in the areas of Fleet Ordnance Support, including the receipt, segregation, storage, and issue (RSSI) of ordnance operations.
• Communicating with senior Department of Defense officials, external stakeholders, and union representatives.

Requirements include:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing ordnance logistical operations to ensure maximum utilization of resources for a Naval Fleet ordnance program.
