Immediate Hiring For Engineering Electronic Technician

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Electronic Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assemble prototype and production PC boards for space applications and defense programs. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to perform soldering, PCB assembly, and rework tasks under J Std, using your expertise in blueprint or schematic reading.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble prototype and production PC boards for space and defense applications.
• Perform soldering, including through-hole and surface mount techniques.
• Interpret and work from assembly drawings, engineering drawings, and schematics, adhering to NASA Space addendum or Defense specifications.
• Build, troubleshoot, test, and reassemble components, ensuring compliance with Space requirements.
• Document processes and outcomes extensively.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to repair and rework components based on sketches and drawings.
• Operate in a cleanroom environment and handle space flight hardware.

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in soldering, through-hole and surface mount, and PC board assembly.
• 3+ years of experience with assembly for space, defense, or aerospace products or components in a prototype, R&D, or new product development area.
• Proficiency in J Std, NASA Std, and IPC certifications - 610, 620.
• Ability to interpret assembly and engineering drawings and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with high-end technology for JPL NASA, MARS Rover programs, and Navy Defense projects.

Work Environment:

You will work in a smaller shop with a team-oriented environment. Our company is a product-oriented space-technology firm operating in commercial, space, and defense markets. We provide rugged aerospace-grade data-acquisition and control systems for use onboard rockets, spacecraft, aircraft, and other remote platforms operating in relatively extreme environments.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
