Your role and responsibilities:

• Manage and coach a team of product software engineers to high performance
• Support the career growth for individuals on a team building and delivering boundary products to a fast-growing customer base
• Hire and grow a diverse team
• Assist product management and design in your capacity as an engineering leader
• Collaborate across functions and stakeholders for detailed roadmap planning
• Guide architecture and other technical decision making
• Ensure high quality products through thoughtful testing and release practices
• Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing, release and operations

Required technical and professional expertise:

• 3 years of software engineering management experience
• Experience with managing both development and operational workstreams
• Managed and/or participated in an on call rotation
• Experience collaborating with a remote distributed team

Preferred technical and professional experience:

• Managed a full stack team (frontend and backend engineers)
• Exposure to systems software and services written in Go and Javascript
• Expertise in one or more of the major public clouds
• Experience driving observability, reliability, and availability for large-scale distributed systems
• Background in leading engineering teams for large-scale enterprise platforms
