Electro Mechanical Engineer
A growing technology-focused manufacturer is seeking an Electro Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of devices that integrate electrical and mechanical systems. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in engineering or physics, particularly those familiar with vacuum electron device (VED) manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build equipment and machinery combining electrical and mechanical technologies.
- Apply knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal design and analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex technical challenges.
- Interpret schematics and perform hands-on troubleshooting.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
- Develop and refine production workflows, layouts, and testing methods.
- Ensure product and process quality through robust testing protocols.
- Generate reports summarizing trends, findings, and recommendations.
- Provide technical support and respond to engineering inquiries.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair to ensure equipment uptime.
- Maintain databases and documentation using custom software tools.
- Mentor and guide technicians during project execution.
- Stay current with industry trends through workshops and training.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with vacuum systems or vacuum electronics.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Additional Details:
- Travel: Up to 20% annually; typically less than 10%.
- Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr. PtO, Holiday, Insurance, Dental.
- Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Watsonville, CA.
