We are searching for the best talent for our Surgical Robotics Electrical Engineering Co-op, starting July 2026, based in Santa Clara, CA.

You will be responsible for:

  • Participate in requirements gathering, and specifications under the direction of senior engineers.
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout for new board designs and required test fixtures.
  • Prototyping and testing necessary hardware, analog/digital circuits used for product design.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software and system engineers to develop integrated solutions.
  • Participate in hardware verification and validation testing following necessary procedures.
  • Assist in creating electronic hardware documentation and release packages.

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Education: Enrollment in MSEE or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding and experience with oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, and DMM's.
  • Fundamental knowledge of circuit design and electrical engineering theory.
  • Ability to interpret schematics for board bring up, debug, and verification testing.
  • Problem solving skills, good aptitude for analysis, ability to multi-task and teamwork.
  • Prior experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools is a plus.

The expected pay range for this position is between $31.00 per hour and $59.00 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension).
