Dowty Field Services On-Site Services Lead Specialist

All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Physical location of this role will be either MCAS Cherry Point-NC, JRB Fort Worth-TX, or MCAS Miramar-CA.

Site, Business, OR Functional Area Overview

This role supports Dowty Propellers field services within GE Aerospace's Field Services and Maintenance organization. You will lead on-site maintenance services and customer operations at U.S. military and defense locations. Physical work location will be one of the following customer sites:

  • MCAS Cherry Point, NC
  • JRB Fort Worth, TX
  • MCAS Miramar, CA

Role Overview

The On-Site Services Lead Specialist plans, directs, and executes on-site maintenance, repair, inspection, and life-extension service activities at customer facilities. The role blends customer-facing leadership, contract interpretation and administration, production supervision, and hands-on maintenance support to ensure safe, high-quality, on-time service execution aligned with contractual commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Personnel and relationship leadership: provide day-to-day direction, supervision, and coaching to local and remote team members; onboard and guide new team members

Contract setup and administration: establish contracted base operations and ensure compliance with all contractual aspects of continued shop operations; interpret contract language and participate in site-level discussions

Production and material oversight: manage production priorities, material flow, and resource planning to meet turnaround and delivery commitments

Customer interface and forecasting: serve as the primary customer point of contact; provide status, forecasts, and performance oversight; address issues and drive resolution

On-site service execution: plan and oversee all feasible on-site life extensions, repairs, and inspection-related activities; perform required maintenance tasks when needed

Technical depth and problem solving: apply in-depth knowledge of the technical discipline and key business drivers to execute policy/strategy and solve problems using internal expertise and analytic thinking

Cross-team integration: coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of site activities with broader program and business objectives

Travel: support CONUS and OCONUS travel requirements to meet customer and program needs

Required Qualifications

Advanced experience in Services and On-Site Services

Education/experience equivalency:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or
  • High school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience in Field Services and Maintenance or related functions

Ability to pass a background check

Willingness and ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS

Job Profile: Lead Services Specialist 2 – On Site Services Field Services and Maintenance Services

The base pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - 130,000.00 Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.
