Desktop Support Technician

Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting onsite technical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Location: Fremont, California (5 days onsite)

Pay Range: $35-39 per hour

What's the Job?

• Diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems related to application software, networking, and operating systems.
• Assist users with walk-up computer issues at the Tech HUB, providing prompt and effective support.
• Prioritize desktop tickets, identify problem sources, and document solutions using cloud-based workflow tools like ServiceNow.
• Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and support computer workstations, laptops, and related equipment.
• Research, install, and maintain hardware and software components, ensuring optimal performance and security.

What's Needed?

• At least 3 years of experience providing desktop support and resolving hardware/software issues.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Office 365 applications.
• Experience with Active Directory and troubleshooting network connectivity.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Relevant technical certifications such as A+, MCP, or HDI are a plus.
