Resolution Operations Role

The Resolution Operations pod sits within the Paid Tech Ops team and is part of the broader Performance Marketing organization, which drives industry leading performance marketing campaigns and technology across all Uber customers and Uber products. In this role, you will be an expert in breaking down ambiguous data volatility and discrepancies into their fundamental parts to drive clarity and trust for internal customers. A successful candidate is a strong problem solver who can creatively hypothesize root causes, own end-to-end investigations, and independently drive cross-functional alignment on outcomes across Paid Marketing, Operations, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and more. You'll be a thought leader to our stakeholders, acting as a SME of our data ecosystem and nuances, bridging technical knowledge gaps, and driving Single-Source-of-Truth reporting on data issues. You will have tremendous opportunities to turn your findings into actionable insights, build compelling stories, and partner with diverse stakeholders to influence campaign QA best practices, product roadmaps, and operational processes. What You'll Do

1. Address internal customer inquiries about data discrepancy, volatility, and quality issues through understanding their problem statements deeply, writing SQL, investigating data, and forming clear narratives to drive a satisfactory resolution.
2. Examine factors, elements, and clues contributing to data trends or behavior to establish and verify assumptions and possible root causes. Expertly understand the interdependencies of complex tech stacks, third-party partners, and advertising ecosystems so as to bring the right questions to the right people through the right methods and move the investigation forward.
3. Thrive in ambiguity and lead through influence, creating a clear narrative with your findings to drive the investigation and follow-up decisions to a clear conclusion across stakeholders in Paid Marketing, Operations, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and more.
4. Prioritize effectively across multiple ongoing investigations. Set clear expectations on deliverables, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively communicate with customers to ensure a timely and reliable customer experience.
5. Question the status quo and employ a data-driven approach to identify both quantitative and qualitative insights about recurring customer inquiries. Generate elevator pitches that influence business decisions to improve campaign QA best practices, product roadmaps, and operational processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced SQL, Google Sheets and data visualization proficiency
• Strong combination of analytical and narrative building skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights and recommendations to influence decision making
• Strong sense of stakeholder management to drive consensus and actionable results across highly cross-functional teams
• Comfortable challenging the status quo, applying critical thinking, setting high standards to think ambitiously and creatively to build and validate various hypotheses

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics or marketing analytics
• Knowledge of performance marketing, digital advertising platforms, and web analytics tools.
• Knowledge of ticketing systems or customer support.
• Passionate about formulating sustainable best practices and streamlining processes and communications.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$130,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$130,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
