Cerner Anesthesia/SurgiNet Application Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Cerner Anesthesia/SurgiNet Application Analyst to support a short-term project focused on implementing Charge on Administration (COA) or migrating charging workflows from Charge on Dispense (COD) to COA. The analyst will work closely with clinical, pharmacy, revenue cycle, and IT stakeholders to ensure smooth build, testing, and adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Cerner Millennium Anesthesia and SurgiNet build, validation, and configuration specific to COA workflows.
- Lead or support the COD → COA migration, including mapping of existing charging processes, identifying gaps, and redesigning workflows.
- Configure medication administration charging, supply charging, preference cards, and perioperative documentation impacts.
- Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to understand charging touchpoints and align on requirements.
- Develop and execute test scripts, perform system and integrated testing, and help coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot charging discrepancies and resolve build defects related to perioperative and anesthesia workflows.
- Provide knowledge transfer to client analysts for long-term sustainment.
- Deliver project documentation, build specifications, workflow diagrams, and recommended best practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Solid understanding of perioperative workflows, supply and medication charging, and regulatory/compliance considerations.
- Strong working knowledge of Cerner tools like Bedrock, Discern rules, PowerPlans, and orderables.
- Experience collaborating with pharmacy, anesthesia, and revenue cycle groups.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, short-term project environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate resolutions to customers.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience in a related field.
- 3+ years experience design and build of Cerner Millennium SurgiNet and/or Anesthesia Management.
- Proven experience implementing Charge on Administration OR executing a COD-to-COA migration.
- Working knowledge of surgical services processes.
- Cerner certifications a plus.
- Previous Healthcare Industry Experience Preferred.
