We are looking for an energetic and focused individual to support SMUD's Finance Planning & Analytics Team. We provide operational, project, and financial support to our internal clients. This role will support Workforce Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Facilities Project Support, Security Operations, and Warehouse, Fleet and Procurement Operations. In addition, major project reporting.

SMUD's College Internship Program provides college interns with an opportunity to contribute their skills and knowledge to SMUD while gaining valuable work experience. Workshops and activities will also be part of the program where interns will have the opportunity to be immersed in SMUD's culture and learn leadership skills as well as develop their professional skills.

Purpose:
Under staff direction, incumbents in this classification are full-time students who perform research and analytical tasks for projects and assignments that utilize specific and acquired academic skills and knowledge in non-engineering subjects and disciplines.
Nature and Scope:
The work performed in this classification calls for regular application of analytical and independent research skills. This work is distinguished from students engaged in repetitive and easily learned tasks who are employed in the Office Assistant (clerical/technical) classification. Incumbents in the Engineering Student Assistant classification perform at a similar level but are restricted to students majoring in an Engineering curriculum and performing tasks that employ acquired mathematical and science knowledge.

Registration as a full-time student (minimum of 12 units) at a resident academic institution in a declared curriculum that will provide the specific skills and knowledge that will contribute to available work assignments.

+ Completed courses: Basic Accounting, Excel, Business Management, Operational Management, Project Planning, Finance
+ Major in Business
+ College standing: Junior or above
+ Analytics and reporting experience
