Antenna Engineer Intern

The Reality Labs Wireless Team is looking for Antenna Engineer interns to join our Antenna team for AR/VR products. Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long.

Antenna Engineer Intern (PhD) Responsibilities:

  • Work on exciting forward-looking wireless products with focus in the area of antenna technology innovation.
  • Work with the intern host on advanced antenna simulations for complex indoor and outdoor environments. Benchmark a variety of commercial tools and help us find the best solution for Meta needs.
  • Internship work involves antenna system simulations, prototyping, and measurement.
  • Communicate and present results to a wide range of audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on Electromagnetic, RF/Microwave engineering, Antenna design or a related field.
  • Knowledge of microwave theory, antenna fundamentals and RF basics.
  • Hands-on experience with characterizing antennas using lab equipment, such as anechoic chambers, VNA, etc.
  • Proficient in different EDA/EM tools, such as CST, Ansys SBR+HFSS.
  • Experience with ray-tracing, and hybrid multi-solver simulations.
  • Familiar with at least one programming language, i.e. Matlab, Python.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and documentation.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.
  • Having research publications in journals or conferences, especially on the areas of wireless propagation or channel modeling.
  • Knowledge of scripting in EM simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of other simulation tools, such as Wireless Insite, XFDTD.
  • Knowledge with WiFi/BT wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of wireless channel propagation modeling.

Public Compensation: $6,688/month to $11,467/month + benefits
