Accounting/ HR Administrator

Location: On-site, Monday–Friday, San Mateo

Type: Full-Time | Mon - Fri from 8a-5p

Seeking a detail-oriented professional to support both our HR and Accounting teams. This role is ideal for someone with experience in QuickBooks and ADP, looking to grow their skills across payroll, HR administration, and general accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Support

  • Maintain employee records and handle onboarding, status changes, and terminations in ADP
  • Assist with biweekly payroll processing and respond to payroll-related questions
  • Support recruitment: post jobs, schedule interviews, and coordinate new hire onboarding
  • Provide administrative support for benefits, leave of absence, and workers' comp
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Accounting Support

  • Support AP/AR processes
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements in QuickBooks
  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting

General Administration

  • Serve as a point of contact for HR and payroll questions
  • Maintain organized and confidential filing systems
  • Provide additional support to HR and Accounting leadership as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in HR and/or Accounting support
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now (required)
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site in San Mateo
