Account Manager Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This contract to permanent position is ideal for individuals seeking to grow their career in account management while gaining hands-on experience in client relations and administrative processes. The role involves a dynamic mix of client engagement, operational tasks, and skill development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing adds/drops, building groups, and following established policies and procedures.
  • Obtain and maintain a California Life and Health Insurance license, with training and support provided.
  • Collaborate with carriers to gather rates, prepare bids, and present pricing options for renewals.
  • Conduct competitor analyses to help clients make informed decisions about staying with their current group or transitioning to new options.
  • Facilitate open enrollment sessions, ensuring smooth communication and execution of processes.
  • Perform billing audits and ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs effectively.
  • Work with internal systems and tools, such as CRM platforms, to maintain organized records and track client interactions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices to provide informed guidance to clients.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a strong ability to build rapport.
  • Must be at an entry-level stage with some relevant experience, ideally gained during college.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to obtain a California Life and Health Insurance license.
