The Human Resources Generalist may assume responsibility for a variety of areas within the Human Resources framework. This Generalist's primary act is to administer leave of absences, ensure proper compliance, investigate unemployment claims, facilitate new hire on-boarding, conduct online & in-person training, be knowledgeable of policies and procedures, address employee & labor relation concerns, responsible for employment recruiting, and participates in all employee events. As necessary, this Generalist will also be responsible for various other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

Key Job Functions:
Educations and/or Experience: College Degree HR or Business Administration preferred. Experience in hotel/casino industry preferred. Supervisor and 2 years previous HR experience preferred. Knowledge of all employment related laws and basic knowledge leave administration with a general knowledge of Human Resources Management.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission and the Indiana Gaming Commission.
