The Engineer/Painter is responsible for the timely maintenance, repair, and operation of major fixed asset equipment—both physical and mechanical—throughout the property, as well as performing skilled painting, finishing, and surface restoration work to maintain the property's appearance and protect facility assets.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Handles all work orders pertaining to the maintenance and operation of major fixed asset equipment, both physical and mechanical, throughout the property.
Performs skilled painting duties including preparing surfaces, applying paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
Conducts drywall patching, texturing, caulking, and minor carpentry repairs as needed to prepare surfaces for painting or restore areas after maintenance work.
Maintains the appearance of walls, ceilings, doors, trim, railings, and other property surfaces through routine painting, touch-ups, and preventative maintenance.
Selects appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for painting tasks and ensures proper storage, labeling, and handling of paints, chemicals, and supplies.
Has working knowledge of the physical and mechanical systems on the property, including (but not limited to) boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, plumbing distribution systems, fire protection systems, electrical distribution systems, motors, controls (electric and pneumatic), kitchen and restaurant equipment, compressors, refrigeration equipment, and air conditioning equipment.
Responsible for keeping accurate records (work orders, logs, reports) of all maintenance and painting work performed.
Maintains a safe working environment in compliance with all OSHA guidelines, including proper use of ladders, lifts, PPE, and chemical handling procedures.
Performs related tasks as required by the Chief Engineer or the Director of Facility Operations.
Must exhibit the Family Style Service model to all Guests and Team Members.

Qualifications:

All Employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. One to three years of related engineering, maintenance, or painting experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must possess and be able to maintain applicable licenses, if required. OSHA Certification required.
Language Skills:
Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to write reports and read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
