Engineering Manager
CAE USA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers in the design, development, and delivery of innovative simulation and training systems for defense applications. This role will oversee multidisciplinary engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on integrating cutting-edge technologies with existing legacy systems to ensure seamless functionality and enhanced performance. The Engineering Manager will drive high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery of solutions that meet the rigorous demands of our customers, while fostering innovation, driving technical excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support CAE's mission of enhancing mission readiness.
Technical responsibilities include:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from requirements analysis and design to testing and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with defense industry standards, including ITAR, FAR, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Collaborate with program managers, product owners, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain CAE's competitive edge in defense simulation and training.
- Interface with customers, including military and government stakeholders, to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
Management responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Manage resource allocation, project schedules, and budgets to achieve project milestones and organizational goals.
- Promote a safe and inclusive work environment, adhering to CAE's values and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or related field) or equivalent education and work experience.
- 8+ years of engineering experience in the defense or aerospace industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, preferably in simulation, training systems, or defense technology.
- Strong understanding of defense industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience with systems engineering, software development, and hardware integration in a defense context.
- Familiarity with Waterfall and/or Agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of CAE's simulation platforms or similar technologies is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
- Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance that has been granted or renewed in the last 5 years.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to the start of employment.
- Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS)
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Salary - $144,300 - 176,300

Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
