Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be primarily responsible for efficient and effective service delivery, contract and customer management across their nominated sustainment programs. This role will manage the relationship with Contract Delegates and Contract Authorities and manage customer and services operations across our Training Centres.

As the Operations Manager, you will be collaborating with the BD & Strategy Teams, Functional and Capability Managers to deliver services. Also, where applicable, you will manage the on-site operations to ensure that the delivery of CAE services are meeting the requirements of the various contracts in place.

The role we are offering you:

  • Management and oversight of on-site operations, including WHS, leading an Integrated Platform Team
  • Manage data and reporting via CAE's reporting tools
  • Establish and maintain a proactive, customer-oriented business relationship with the customer
  • Lead the Integrated Platform team and representatives of capabilities required to deliver contracted services, and act as first point of escalation for any issues within this team
  • Manage the revenue at a platform level to ensure that the financial performance is in accordance with budget plans.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Proven experience in the Project/Program and customer management space
  • Strong experience within Defence
  • An eye for risk management, particularly in accordance with ISO 31000
  • Experience within Aircraft/Simulator maintenance, engineering and/or technology projects
  • Sound financial management, forecasting and planning skills are desirable

Location:

  • Homebush, NSW
  • We operate a hybrid working approach.

Security requirements:

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
