We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partner mission objectives.

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed Network Engineer, Journeyman. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partner located in Wiesbaden, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS. This position is located OCONUS.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, designs, and implements robust, secure, scalable, and high-performance classified and unclassified network solutions that meet operational requirements and security policies
  • Develops and implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines and supports Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) processes IAW DoD and industry security and engineering best practices, standards, tools, and techniques
  • Provides IT communications services, including planning, designing, engineering, operating, maintaining, defending, and employing services
  • Maintains networks to ensure 24x7 availability of critical systems on NIPR, SIPR, TS/SCI, intelligence, and communication networks, and supports Command and Control (C2) infrastructure
  • Sustains the transmission or communication path between geographically separated users and devices
  • Plans, designs, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, resolves problems, and performs network asset management of Cisco switches and routers; Brocade switches and routers; Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls; Cisco firewalls; proxy servers; Intrusion Protections   Systems (IPSs); and encryption devices
  • Configures VPN tunnels on Cisco, Brocade, and Juniper devices and configures TACLANES
  • Maintains COMSEC account(s) in support of the installation of encryption keys
  • Provides systems engineering planning and support for Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Provides migration and transition support to implement approved engineered solutions
  • Applies measures to secure applications and hardware and ensures the network remains within ATO compliance
  • Contributes to development and/or maintenance of deliverables, such as operational guidelines, user guides, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) documentation (DEL 19)
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems

Qualifications

  • Experience 4-7 years with a BA/BS in related field preferred or equivalent experience considered
  • Possess a Secret clearance with the ability to retain
  • Certification – 8140 - CND or Network+
  • Demonstrates proficiency in developing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions for classified and unclassified networks and environments, ensuring 24x7 availability of critical systems
  • Possesses practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps processes, and DoD security standards across NIPR, SIPR, and TS/SCI networks
  • Exhibits expertise in planning, designing, and engineering IT communication services, as well as maintaining and troubleshooting diverse network assets, including Cisco, Brocade, and Juniper devices; firewalls; and IPS systems
  • Exhibits proficiency in configuring network devices, security systems, and security devices, including IPS and encryption
  • Applies skills in configuring VPN tunnels and TACLANES and implementing security measures to maintain ATO compliance
  • Demonstrates capability in maintaining COMSEC accounts for encryption key installation
  • Contributes effectively to the development of operational guidelines, user guides, and TTPs documentation
  • Operates independently on complex work assignments, developing methodologies and presenting solutions to network-related problems
  • TESA eligible
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
